EpicBigIsland.com started when the Founder, James Ward, realized that his successful management career in a large corporation wasn’t exactly what his heart wanted. He was most alive when outdoors and chasing adventures with his friends. One day he decided to follow his heart, and quit his job to start what we all know now asEpicBigIsland.com.
Epic! Tours LLC and EpicBigIsland.com were born in 2013 on the Island of Hawaii and offers concierge services, aerial photography, taxi/shuttle service and “epic” tours all over the Big Island of Hawaii.
About The Owner
James is originally from North East, Indiana and first visited Hawaii with his family when he was 10 years old on vacation. From that moment on, he knew then that he wanted to go move there after graduating high school. He laughs that he used to go tours of the islands back in elementary school and he loved it so much, he had to move here permenently to keep exploring.
He entered the University of Hawaii at Hilo (The only University in the USA with an active Volcano a few miles away.) where he graduated with a double major in Business Administration and Communication, while playing NCAA Division II College Soccer and Basketball. He is currently working towards finishing his MBA.
James is PADI Scuba, First Aid, CPR and AED Certified and his mission is to share his “Aloha” spirit with each visitor that he meets on the Big Island .
